WASHINGTON, DC – Amidst a line-up of speakers on payment reform for clinical laboratory services, proposed FDA regulation of laboratory developed tests and other pressing industry issues, longtime CBS news anchor, reporter and former host of Face the Nation, Bob Schieffer, will serve as the keynote address on March 3rd at the 2016 annual conference for the American Clinical Laboratory Association (ACLA). ACLA today opened conference registration to non-members of the nation’s largest trade association representing clinical laboratories.
ACLA’s general session will be held in its entirety on March 3rd and the conference agenda is expected to be soon finalized. Mr. Schieffer will give his viewpoint on the inner workings of Congress and the outlook on presidential politics for 2016.
“Clinical laboratories and diagnostic innovation are in the forefront of the personalized medicine era, helping to usher in the next frontier in preventive health and the discovery of cures for disease,” said Alan Mertz, President of ACLA. “ACLA’s annual conference brings together the best and the brightest in the clinical laboratory community and Capitol Hill. This year’s meeting is certain to provide a lively forum on the latest discourse on the future of diagnostic innovation.”
